DiceBee ("we", "us") runs dicebee.com. Set out below is what we do with information and what you can choose. In one line: the dice roll itself is handled inside the browser and never leaves your device.
Scope of this policy
DiceBee does one thing — as an online dice roller it rolls one to twenty dice with anything from four to a hundred sides and keeps a running total and history. It draws each roll from the browser's cryptographically secure random source and maps it onto the die's face count without modulo bias, so a hundred-sided die is as fair as a six-sided one. What follows concerns only that tool and the inputs involved in it.
In day-to-day use the tool works only from the dice roll itself, and it is usually opened for things like settling a board-game turn. None of that reaches us, so none of it can be stored.
Data you give the tool
On dicebee.com the computation never leaves the browser. DiceBee reads your input in the page itself, produces the result there, and sends nothing over the network — which is also why the tool goes on working if you disconnect after loading it.
What our statistics cover
Any measurement we do is statistical rather than personal: how many people opened a page, roughly where from, and which tools get used. It is aggregated before it is read, and the values you type are never part of it.
Where your input goes (nowhere)
The values you enter are read by the page itself and nowhere else. No copy is kept after you navigate away, since none was ever made.
How long data is kept, and how it is protected
There is nothing of yours to keep, so there is no retention period to describe for calculator input: it exists only in your browser tab and disappears when you leave. The site is served over HTTPS throughout.
Children
These tools are meant for a general audience and are not aimed at children under 13. We do not knowingly gather personal information from children; if you believe a child has provided some, contact us and we will remove it.
Rights you can exercise
You may have statutory rights over personal data — to access, amend, erase or object to its processing, depending on your jurisdiction. You can exercise them by writing to us; in most cases there will be no stored data to act on.
Changes to this policy
If the way we handle data ever changes, this page will be revised and the date at the top adjusted accordingly. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
Automatic technical data
Like most websites, our hosting and analytics providers may process the basic technical information needed to deliver a page: IP address, browser and device type, referring page and pages viewed. This is used for security, troubleshooting and understanding which tools are used, and is never joined to anything you type into the tool.
Advertising, cookies and your choices
We use one first-party cookie for the consent choice and nothing more. Any other cookies come from advertising partners outside our control; they can be blocked or deleted in your browser, and doing so costs the tool nothing, because the calculation is independent of them.
Questions about this policy
To ask about privacy, or to exercise a right, the contact page is the way to get through.
